動物保護施設が作った動物カフェ
当施設の動物は全て2016年から動物保護団体で飼育されていた生体および、怪我や病気で保護された生体です。
かわうそは社会性の高い動物なので、血のつながった家族、兄弟単位で部屋を分けて飼育しています。
（知らない個体同士を無理に同居させることはしていません）
園内のフクロウは紐でつながず、自由に飛べる環境を作っています。（これは日本初の取り組みです）
収益は保護猫および動物の終生飼育に活かされます。
生体の販売は行っていません。
All the animals in our care are either those that have been looked after by animal welfare organizations since 2016 or animals that were rescued due to injury or illness.
Since otters are highly social animals that live in groups, we house them in separate enclosures based on family units with blood ties or groups of siblings.
(We do not force individuals with no blood ties to live together.)
The owls at our facility are not tethered with ropes; we have created an environment where they can fly freely. (This is the first initiative of its kind in Japan.)
Proceeds are used to fund the lifelong care of rescued cats and other animals.
We do not sell animals at our facility.

All the owls inside the facility (indoors) are free-roaming and live in an environment where they can fly around freely.

１階では、たくさんのカワウソ達と握手したり、エサやり体験ができます。
（カワウソのすべての部屋に、人間と同じお湯の出るバスタブを設置しております。）
※当施設のコツメカワウソはすべて保護施設で生まれた子達です。
1F…You can shake hands with and feed many of the otters.
Every otter enclosure is equipped with a bathtub that dispenses hot water, just like the ones people use.
*All the otters at this facility are part of families consisting of parent otters and their offspring, and every one of them was born at this conservation center.
２階、ふくろうルーム内では動物福祉のため、ふくろうは放し飼いになっています。
（ふくろうの足をリード等でつないでいませんので自由に飛び回る姿や、好きな場所でお昼寝しているもご覧いただけます。）

動物福祉型施設 かわうそとふくろうのおうち（OWL OTTER CAFE small zoo）は、鎌倉の大仏の近くに位置し、江ノ電の長谷駅から徒歩わずか10秒の距離にある小さな保護動物カフェです。
私たちの母体は動物保護施設を長年運営しており、当施設の動物たちはすべて様々な事情から保護された動物たちです。※生体の販売は行なっておりません。
当カフェは動物福祉に留意しながら保護動物たちとのふれあいを楽しめる場所を提供して、その収益を動物保護活動に還元する趣旨で開業いたしました。ドリンクはセルフ式、無料です。時間制限はありません。

2026年６月 テレビ東京「拡大発見バラエティ カズレーザー×澤部のズームズームズーム様」に放映いただきました。
2026年9月、TBS テレビ NEW23（報道番組）様より取材をいただきました。全国ネットで放送。
9月1日から国が初めて全国のアニマルカフェの実態調査を行うに伴い（動物福祉のリテラシーの向上問題）、多くのアニマルカフェが取材を拒否する中、当施設だけが全面的に取材を受け入れました。
番組内で私たちの施設は、環境省の省令ルールに従った安全確認と、園内でフクロウの放し飼い（紐でつながず自由に飛べるように工夫を施している）を行っている施設として紹介されました。
In September 2026, we were featured in a report by TBS TV’s NEW23 (a news program). The segment aired nationwide.
As the national government began its first-ever nationwide survey of animal cafes on September 1 (to address the issue of improving animal welfare literacy), many animal cafes refused to be interviewed; however, our facility was the only one to fully cooperate with the interview.
In the program, our facility was featured as one that conducts safety checks in accordance with the Ministry of the Environment’s regulations and allows owls to roam freely (with measures in place to ensure they can fly freely).
